Article submissions should be 250 to 1000 words. Please submit all articles to jodyfernando@yahoo.com with the subject line The Link Between - Submission. Response time: 8 weeks.

In the header of your article, please include

1) Name

2) Title of article

3) Theme/topic where it best fits

Seeking submissions:

Intercultural Marriage: Share your experience in an intercultural marriage. Discuss strengths and weaknesses of your marriage, and lessons you have learned from each other. If you’ve worked through issues specific to one culture, detail how you have come to an agreement that works for you. (This will be especially helpful for those from these cultures looking for council.)

Transracial Adoption: Share how you have taught your child about his/her culture. What successes have you had? What failures would you have liked to avoid?

Career Guidance: Share how you sought out a career in international work. How did it become clear to you that you were supposed to serve abroad? How did you determine the organization with which you were to work? What suggestions would give to those interested in pursuing an international career?

Third Culture Kids/Missionary Kids: Share your experience of parenting or being an MK/TCK. Discuss both highs and lows of your experience, as well as what has and hasn’t worked for you and your kids.

Church: Share your experience living in a cross-cultural community of faith. What have you learned from each other? What barriers have you had to overcome? Discuss any intentional guidelines that you use to facilitate unity in the midst of your diversity. What kinds of actions cause disunity? Be sure to give the name and location of your church so others in your area can connect with you.

Book reviews: Have you read a helpful book regarding the above topics? Write a short review that discusses its premise and content to share with others.

Previously published pieces: If you have a previously published piece that fits the scope of The Link Between, send me the link, and I’ll post it as a resource.
